Goblins & Squabblin': The $30 Secret Lair Now Worth $300
A $30 Secret Lair from 2023 is now a $300 pile of singles. How the Goblin Storm Commander deck repriced every card in Goblins & Squabblin'.

In August 2023, Wizards sold a Secret Lair called Goblins & Squabblin': five Goblin staples drawn by Wizard of Barge in his unmistakable neon-cartoon style, at the standard drop price of the era, $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil.
Today those five non-foil singles add up to $302. The foils add up to $424. Most of that happened in the last three months, and it happened for one very traceable reason: Wizards announced another Goblin product by the same artist, and the market went back for the originals.
The drop
Released August 28, 2023, the drop bundled real Goblin-deck playables, not filler: a one-mana cheat engine, two tutors, the deck's payoff king, and a fringe commander. Each card exists in exactly one Barge version per finish, non-foil and foil, and none of them have been printed with this art anywhere else.
The catalyst
On May 6, 2026, Wizards announced the Secret Lair Commander Deck: Goblin Storm, a $149.99 preconstructed deck illustrated entirely by Wizard of Barge, which went on sale May 18. It did two things to the market at once. It put thousands of new Goblin decks into circulation, all hungry for upgrades. And it reminded every Barge collector that the artist's first Goblin drop had exactly five cards in it.
Here is what that did, card by card. Every chart below carries a "Show today" toggle if you are reading this later.
| Card | Non-foil (May 5 → today) | Foil (May 5 → today) |
|---|---|---|
| Goblin Lackey | $35.22 → $68.91 (+96%) | $47.85 → (+105%) |
