Price alerts

A price alert watches one card's price in one market and notifies you when it crosses your line. (For a blanket rule over everything you watch — "ping me when any watched card moves ±5%" — see the watchlist's movement alerts.)

Creating an alert

From any card (owned, watched or neither): in the app, tap … at the top right of the card, then Alerts; on the web, from a card's page or drawer. Set:

• Finish — normal, foil or etched. Each has its own price series.
• Direction — Below or Above.
• Target — By price for an absolute number, or By % for a percent move. With a display currency, you type the price in your currency and the alert stores it in its market's currency; the list shows the market amount with yours beside it (≈).

The sheet also shows the alert's market — a source tag next to the current price. A new alert is anchored to your active price source at the moment you create it.

Suggested alerts

In the app, Suggested alerts fills an empty All tab and stays under the list once you have alerts (not while you search):

• Your most valuable cards (up to three, $5 and up) and From ‹your Wishlist› (up to three) each have one button, Alert me if they drop 10% or Alert me when they drop 10%. It sets a Below, By %, 10 alert with Auto re-arm off on each of those cards that has no alert yet, then reads Alerts set.
• Commander staples and Rising this week have Alert me on each card, which opens that card's alert sheet.

On the Free plan, a one-tap button needs room for all of its alerts; otherwise the upgrade sheet opens. The section folds and stays the way you leave it; its ✕ hides it on this device, and with no alerts it comes back on your next visit.

An alert is a question about one market

The market is stamped at creation and never changes — switching your price source later doesn't move your alerts, so "tell me when the TCGplayer price dips under $40" keeps meaning exactly that. Each alert row shows its market's tag, and you can keep two alerts on the same card in two different markets — a TCGplayer target and a Cardmarket target side by side, each watching its own number.

When a card has no price in an alert's market the alert waits, rather than borrowing a number from somewhere else. The row reads NO PRICE, and the alert itself says "no price in this market".

Alert lifecycle

• Alerts are re-evaluated four times a day (13:00, 18:00 and 23:00 UTC, plus the nightly catalog sync), each against its own market. The prices behind them refresh once a day per source, so an alert can only fire on genuinely new information once a day — the extra sweeps catch what a slow feed delivered late, they do not re-price anything.
• When one fires you get a push notification and an email, and an entry lands in the alert's event history.
• Percent alerts anchor to the card's live price in the alert's market at the moment you create it. Auto re-arm, a switch offered on percent alerts only, keeps the alert active when it fires and re-anchors it to the new price, so a card that keeps climbing keeps reporting each further +15%. It waits an hour before it can fire again. An alert with Auto re-arm on never leaves the All tab, because it never stops being active.
• Alerts by price stay triggered until you reactivate them.
• Snooze quiets an alert temporarily; you can also pause one indefinitely without deleting it.

Managing alerts

On a card, … → Alerts says how many alerts that printing has. With none it opens the new alert; with some it lists them, with Add another.

The Price Alerts screen, in the collection tools row, lists your alerts under three tabs — All / Paused / Triggered — where you snooze, pause, reactivate or delete them. All is your still-watching inventory: an alert that has fired moves out of it and into Triggered, which shows the event feed — what fired, at what price, when. An alert with Auto re-arm on is the exception: it fires and stays in All.

The same hub lives on the web at silvane.app/alerts — the three tabs, a detail drawer with each alert's timeline, and the same actions. The account menu shows a badge with your unseen triggers, shared with the app: opening either surface clears both.
