Account & sync

Local-first, always available

The app stores your collection on your device. Adding cards, editing decks and browsing binders never wait on the network, and the app works fully offline.

Guests

The app signs you in as a guest on first launch. A guest can add cards, scan, build decks and use almost everything. Four things need a real account:

• Account
• Notifications
• Connect to Claude & ChatGPT
• Data & Backups, which is where Recently deleted lives

Subscribing to Silvane Pro also needs one: the paywall's button reads Sign in to subscribe.

A guest collection lives behind that device's session only. Sign in later and everything you added is kept, attached to the same user.

The web has no guest at all.

Signing in

Sign in with Google, Apple or an email and password of at least 8 characters. In the app it is Profile → Sign in or create account; on the web it is Sign in in the header, which registers too. Forgot password? sends a reset email.

Sync across devices

When you are online, changes sync automatically to the cloud and to every other device signed in to the account. Sign in on a new phone or tablet and your collection appears: binders, decks, tags, alerts, preferences.

The first sync on a new device shows a loading screen while your collection lands. It happens once; after that the app opens immediately and syncs in the background.

There is nothing to configure and no sync button. If two devices edit while offline, the changes merge when they reconnect.

One account, three surfaces

• The app, on Android and iOS.
• The web at silvane.app — your hub, your collection, decks, Studio, Watchlist and Price Alerts, plus the public profile and share links other people see. See Silvane on the web.
• The MCP server — Claude or ChatGPT reading and editing your collection. See MCP.

Preferences travel with the account, not the device. Your price source is one choice shared by all three: change it anywhere and the app, the web and MCP follow.

Sync is not a backup
