Navigation and panels
The navigation column, the context panel and the card panel on a tablet.
On a tablet the five sections live in a column down the left edge that nothing covers. The sections and their order are identical to the phone's: Collection, Decks, Scan, Search, Profile.
Coming back to where you were
Tapping a section takes you back to what you were last looking at in it, not to the top of it. Leave a deck half-read, check a price in Collection, tap Decks again, and the deck is still there, scrolled where you left it and on the tab you left it on.
Two exceptions:
- Playtest and Simulate are not restored. You land on the deck instead.
- Signing out clears it.
The context panel
Sections with more to show than a list of screens get a second column next to the navigation one.

The panel does not mirror what is already on screen. With no deck open the deck covers are the navigator, so there is no panel. With a deck open, the panel carries the deck's own navigation: Main, Sideboard, Considering, Tokens, Ideas, Value and Insights.
Collapse a panel with the chevron on the navigation column. The choice is remembered per section, so collapsing Profile's panel leaves Collection's alone. Where there is no panel, or you collapsed it, your content widens and the grid adds columns.
Going back
Detail screens keep a back chevron as they do on a phone, with one refinement: when the panel beside a screen is already what navigates to it, the chevron is not shown.
The card panel
Tap a card anywhere on a tablet — a binder, a list, a view, search results, a deck — and it opens in a panel on the right while the grid stays where it was.
- Tap another card and the panel swaps to it. The grid never moves.
- Tap outside the panel to close it.
- Everything the full card screen does, the panel does: prints, finishes, prices, adding to a binder or a deck.
Docking
The split-view button in the panel's header docks it. The panel stops floating over your collection and becomes a column beside it, and the grid re-flows into the remaining width, dropping a column rather than clipping one.
- Docked, tapping outside no longer closes the panel.
- Closing the panel undocks it.
- Docking is offered on screens that are lists of cards, and releases itself when you navigate somewhere else.
Filters, pickers and other panels
The same panel hosts surfaces that take over the screen on a phone:
- Full price analysis, opened from a card, opens on top of that card in the panel, with a back chevron to return to it.
- Search filters open in the panel, so results change against the filters you are setting.
- Add Cards opens there, keeping the deck or binder you are filling in view.
More broadly, the sheets that slide up from the bottom on a phone — sort, filter, pickers, forms — arrive as side panels on a tablet. Same contents, same controls.
