Simulate
Monte Carlo analysis of thousands of opening hands.
Simulate (a tile inside Playtest) shuffles and draws opening hands over and over — then reports the statistics:
- Keepable % — how often the opening hand meets the keep heuristic (the in-app info sheet spells the heuristic out).
- Avg lands and Avg mana value of opening hands.
- Distributions — land counts, mana curve and color sources across every hand drawn.
Configure the run up top: iterations (100 / 500 / 1,000 / 5,000 hands) and the mulligan strategy — No mulligan (pure baseline), Mulligan if under 2 lands, or Mulligan if under 2 or over 5 lands.
Where Playtest is one game played by you, Simulate is thousands of games played by math. Use it to answer questions like "is 36 lands enough?" with data.
