The scan tray
Review, correct and commit a scanning session before it reaches your collection.
Scans queue in the scan tray instead of going straight into your collection.
This is the scanner's own pile, and it lives on the phone. It is not the account-wide Tray behind the header icon, which syncs between the app and the web. The two share this review screen, which is why they look alike — but a scan session's cards are yours alone until you commit them.
The detection bar
When a card locks, a bar appears over the camera — most scans never need more than this:
- Print chip (set · number) — tap to open the version picker and swap to a sibling printing.
- Finish chip — tap to cycle normal → foil → etched (only the finishes the printing exists in).
- QTY — tap to add another copy of the same card; long-press resets it to 1.
- Condition chip — tap for the NM/LP/MP/HP/DMG dropdown.
- The card's price for the selected finish — in your active price source — shows alongside.
Holding the same card in frame doesn't log duplicates — the scanner detects the repeat and offers a Scan another button instead, which is the deliberate way to add a second physical copy (or the same card in a different finish).
Reviewing the tray
Each tray item shows the matched printing. Row interactions: the ⋯ button opens the item's editor, the thumbnail opens the card's page, swipe left reveals a delete button, and a search field and a sort control handle long trays (last added, name, mana value, price or color identity, either direction). Before committing you can:
- Correct the match — swap to another printing if the consensus picked a sibling version.
- Set finish, condition and language per card. Picking a language re-keys the card onto that language's real printing — see Card languages.
- Adjust quantity — scanned four copies? Set ×4 instead of scanning it four times.
- Remove false positives.
Committing
Saving commits the whole tray to one destination. There is no partial commit: remove the rows you don't want first, then save. Which destinations are offered, and when the scanner opens locked onto one, is in Where scans go.
Committing to a deck drops conditions, because a deck list tracks cards rather than copies.
It survives a restart
The scan tray persists on your device: close the app mid-session and your un-committed scans are where you left them. It does not sync, so it is not visible on the web.
There is no history of past sessions. Once a tray is committed, the cards live in the collection, deck or order you sent them to.
