Overview

The Search tab covers the entire Magic catalog (~100k+ printings) with autocomplete, live filter chips, and several power layers on top:

• Syntax — Scryfall-style queries for surgical searches.
• Filters & presets — a visual builder for the same power without the syntax.
• AI Search — describe what you want in plain words.
• Sets — browse by set, with per-set stats.
• Discovery — top commanders, newly printed, editorial picks.

Search in any language

Type a card name in any language — Cultivar, Blitzschlag, Anel Solar, 太陽の指輪 — and Silvane finds the card. No filter needed, and it works everywhere you search: the Search tab, the add-to search, and searches over what you own. When a name has no match in the local catalog, results automatically widen to printings in every language (this step needs an internet connection — offline, a foreign name may return no results).

Foreign copies also display in their own language across the app — printed names, localized rules text, printings by language. The full story: Card languages.

Owned-only search

Toggle Owned and the search runs against the exact printings you own instead of the whole catalog — by name only. Filters and syntax don't apply in this mode (turning Owned on clears any active filters, and the filter button explains why): it answers "do I have this card?", not "which of my cards are dragons over $5?" — that kind of slicing is what Views are for. To search inside one binder, use the search field in the binder itself.

Result controls

Above the results: sort (Release Date, EDHREC Rank, Name, Mana Value, Price, Color Identity, Rarity and more, with an ascending/descending toggle) and a view-mode cycle for how dense the grid is.

Online and offline

Plain name searches answer instantly from the on-device catalog — offline included. Three things go online: syntax queries, the Language filter, and AI Search (plus foreign names that miss the local catalog, which widen to the multilingual search).

From result to action

Any result opens the full card: printings with prices, add-to-binder/deck/watchlist, price history, and where you already hold copies.
