Search syntax
Scryfall-style operators, the fifteen groups the in-app guide covers, and where to see them all.
Silvane's search accepts Scryfall syntax, the de-facto standard for Magic search. A few examples:
| Query | Finds |
|---|---|
t:dragon c:r | Red dragons |
o:"draw a card" cmc<=2 | Cheap cantrips |
is:commander id<=ug | Commanders within Simic identity |
r:mythic e:mh3 | Mythics from Modern Horizons 3 |
pow>=5 t:creature c:g | Big green creatures |
Combine operators freely.
What the operators cover
The app's Search syntax guide groups every supported operator under fifteen headings:
Names & text · Type & subtype · Colors & color identity · Mana value & stats · Set, rarity & collector number · Borders & frames · Legality · Keywords & abilities · Game availability · Flags & special states · Price · Artist · Artwork tags · Combining clauses · Result grouping & order.
Each example there has a Try button that runs it on the spot, and the guide links out to scryfall.com/docs/syntax for the full grammar.
Find it on the app's search landing, fourth from the top, under your recent searches. See Discovery.
Chips
In the app, the query parses live and shows a chip per condition, so you can see how Silvane read it. The web has no chips: it runs the query as typed.
Prefer a visual approach? The filter builder covers the same ground without typing, and AI Search turns plain English into these filters.
