Booster Guide
What each booster holds, every card's chance per pack, what a pack is worth, and free packs to open every day.
The Booster Guide lives in the app, guests included; the web doesn't have it. It covers 40 sets since Kaldheim: their Play, Set, Draft and Collector Boosters, and the Epilogue Booster of March of the Machine: The Aftermath.
It opens from three places:
- The Booster Guide card at the top of the Search tab, which also shows your daily packs.
- Boosters in the header of a set the guide covers.
- In boosters on a card's screen.
The guide
Top to bottom:
- Best to open in Standard: the five Standard sets with the highest typical pack, for Play or Collector Boosters (switch at the top right).
- Daily packs: how many are left today, and Open a pack for the newest set's Play Booster.
- Every set, newest first. A Standard set carries a STANDARD tag; a set that isn't out yet says Releases and its date.
Each booster of a set shows its Typical pack, Card over $20, What's inside and Open. Search sets finds a set by name. Sort by Release date, Name or Typical pack, and filter by Standard, set type, booster type or release year.
The numbers
- Typical pack: what the median pack is worth. Half the packs hold more.
- Card over $5 and Card over $20: how many packs it takes, on average, to find one card worth that much, as in "1 in 4 packs".
- Cards worth $20+: how many of the booster's cards are worth that.
Amounts are in your price source and are worked out again every night. Pack values and card prices show in your display currency when you picked one. The $5 and $20 lines stay in the source's currency: on Cardmarket they read €5 and €20. Every card counts at its price, bulk included, and a card with no price adds nothing. The guide doesn't show what a pack costs in a shop.
What's inside
All cards, then one chip per slot, in Wizards' order and with Wizards' names. A slot shows its rarities, its treatments, what it adds to an average pack and Best in this slot. All cards shows the totals, Top pulls and a link to Wizards' guide to that set's boosters.
Every card shows its price and its chance per pack. Search the list, or sort it by Price, Chance per pack, Rarity or Name; a card opens its screen. The odds follow what Wizards published for each set.
Daily packs
Free plan
Three packs a day, back at midnight in your time zone. They are counted on your account, so reinstalling the app doesn't bring them back. With Silvane Pro, packs are unlimited.
Open one with Open a pack (the newest set's Play Booster), Open on any booster in the guide, or the pack at the top of What's inside. Opening a pack needs a connection: the pack is drawn on Silvane's servers.
Opening a pack
Peel the strip off the pack, tap to turn the cards over, and swipe to the next card; the best card comes last. Skip goes straight to the end.
Your pack shows the Pack value, the Best pull and the typical pack to compare it with. NEW marks a printing that is in none of your binders or lists. Each card has two buttons:
- Want adds it to the first list with Wishlist on; with none, you pick a list.
- Have adds it to a binder you pick.
Both add one copy, Near Mint and in English, in the finish you pulled, and count toward the Free plan's 3,000 unique cards. Open another says how many packs are left today; Done goes back.
Offline
The guide, What's inside and In boosters open from what they last loaded; the first time needs a connection, and until then a set's Boosters button and In boosters don't show. Opening a pack always needs a connection. If an opening fails, trying again brings the same pack and doesn't use up another.
