Deck Studio (web)

The Studio is where a deck is built on silvane.app. Open one of your decks and press Edit in Studio on its page, or press the ＋ in the site header and pick Deck — a new deck lands straight in the Studio.

The Studio needs a window at least 1024 px wide. Below that, the deck page hides the button, and opening the Studio directly shows a gate naming the width it needs and the width you have. Widening the window or zooming the page out opens it.

The workspace

Three panes, each collapsible:

• Sources (left) — where cards come from. Search the whole catalog with the same filters as the search page, showing All prints, Unique cards or Unique art, or search only the cards you own. Commander and Brawl decks add four more tabs: EDHREC recommendations, Lands for the commander's colors, Blindspots (what the community runs that the guides never suggest) and Combos (what the deck can do, and what it is one card from doing). The app's Ideas group carries the same four under its own names, Lands being Mana base, plus a fifth the Studio does not have, Staples. See Ideas. Drag a card into a column, or click a finish on its tile (normal, foil…) to add a copy; the Main / Side / Considering pills say which board receives it.
• The deck (middle) — four views: Columns, List, Grid and Stack; grouped by Category, Type, Mana value, Color or Tag; sorted by name, mana value, price or color identity. Drag cards between columns to regroup them — dropping a card in another category or board moves it there. Pin a group to the sources pane to keep it under your eye while you work elsewhere in the list.
• Context (right) — four tabs: Card (the card you hover or select: rules text, prices, whether you have it, Change printing, Full details, quantity), Stats (Insights, Value and Your Collection — what you own of the deck), Legal (the legality breakdown and, for Commander, the bracket) and Tokens. Widen the pane and the card grows with it.

Every change saves as you make it, and undo / redo (⌘Z, ⌘⇧Z) walks them back; Change history in the ⋮ menu shows the whole trail.

Cards

• Copies — the + and − on a card, or the keys, add and remove copies; Remove from deck takes the last one.
• Printing and finish — Change printing lists every print with the ones in your collection first; Split printings spreads a card's copies across several prints. Cycle the finish with F.
• Categories and tags — the Studio's own way to organize a list (Ramp, Removal, Wincon…), on top of the type grouping. Manage them from the ⋮ menu, or let Suggest categories… propose a set from the cards. Categories live on the web only; the app shows the deck by type.
• Collection status on cards (⋮ menu) paints a dot on each card, judged against your binders: green you have it (this printing, this finish), amber you have it in another printing, language or finish, red it is not in your collection or you have fewer copies than the deck needs. The app's inventory overlay reads the same states in its own colours. Copies another tracked deck uses are noted in the Card tab ("×1 in use by …") but never change the colour. A tracked deck shows no dots — its cards already count as owned.
• Filter the list — the field above the deck (or /) matches names, types and categories; #tag keeps the cards carrying a tag and -#tag drops them; own:have, own:other and own:missing keep the cards in one of the three states above (-own:have drops the ones you own); is:proxy, is:untracked and is:shared keep the cards marked that way. Typing #, own: or is: opens the list of what you can pick — is: only offers a value the deck actually has.
• Set as commander promotes a legendary creature from the list.
• Copy modes — Proxy, Tracked and Shared copy sit at the bottom of the Card tab, above Remove from deck. What each one changes is in Proxies, untracked cards and shared copies. Two things are the Studio's alone: with several cards selected the switches act on the whole selection in one undoable step, saying Mixed when they disagree; and in a narrow column the tags shorten to P, NT and S, which you can hover to read in full.

View deck page, Playtest (the same web playtest), Share…, Change history, Deck settings (name, format, description, commander, cover art, Count in collection), Change commander, Manage categories & tags, Suggest categories…, Export…, Import… (paste a list or a URL, as in the app), Download decklist, Duplicate deck, Collection status on cards, Keyboard shortcuts, and, in the danger zone, Empty deck and Delete deck (the deck goes to Recently deleted).
