Collection value

Collection Value shows what you own is worth today, and charts it day by day.

• In the app — tap Total Value in the market header on Collection. The header appears once your first nightly snapshot exists, and not for a guest; Settings → Market header turns it off.
• On the web — the chart sits on your profile hub, for you only. Point at the chart to read any day's value; View details opens the whole screen in a side panel.

What the total includes

Binders plus tracked decks. A proxy is left out, and so is a card with Tracked turned off. Lists never count.

Today's value is live

Today's value is your collection as it is now, at the latest prices of your source. Add or remove a card and it follows. The app, the web and MCP show the same number. In the app it appears as Total Value, in the cards and unique counts on Collection, as the headline and last chart point of Collection Value, in the totals on Owned Cards and its Data screen, and in the image Share image makes.

The app shows the live value while it is current: fetched since the app opened, and after your last change reached Silvane. Offline, or in the seconds while a change uploads:

• Owned Cards, its Data screen and the cards and unique counts show what the phone adds up from its own prices.
• Total Value and Collection Value show the last nightly snapshot, and the chart ends on that day.

With a search or filter on, Owned Cards and its Data screen always add up the cards on screen.

The screen

• The chart, over 7D, 30D, 90D, 6M, YTD or 1Y, with Total, Normal, Foil and Etched chips to split it by finish.
• Four tiles: Period high, Period low, Change and All-time high.
• Value by finish — normal, foil and etched, each with its copies, value and share of the total.
• Value by source — how the value splits between your binders and your tracked decks. The word source means something different here than it does everywhere else in this manual, where it means a market.
• Most valuable cards, with a Top 100 link that appears once more than 100 of your cards are priced. It opens the full ranked list.
• Most valuable decks — your five most valuable decks, tracked or not, at their deck value. Silvane re-prices every deck each night at 23:10 UTC and when you edit it.
• Share (app only) — the share button at the top right makes an image of the chart: choose Range, Top cards, Values and Theme, then Share image.

How the history is built

Every day before today is a nightly snapshot taken at 23:30 UTC, after the day's prices land, so each point is that day's close. Today's point is the live value.

• Snapshots are per price source. Each source keeps its own history of your collection, and the chart draws the one for your active source. Switching sources switches the whole curve; it does not redraw the old one in new money.
• Each snapshot is valued as of its date: your inventory that day, at that day's prices, one price day for the whole snapshot. The curve is a series of real observations, not today's prices projected backwards.
• Tonight's snapshot keeps today. At 23:30 UTC today's value becomes a point of the history, and tomorrow starts a new live point.
