Binders

A binder is the digital twin of a physical album or box. It holds owned copies with their exact printing, finish, condition and language.

Creating one

In the app — the + in the Collection header opens Create new. Choose Binder, fill in its name, Color identifier and Parent folder (optional), then tap Create binder. On an empty Binders tab, Create Binder asks only for a name (An empty collection). To turn a deck, precon or Secret Lair drop into a binder, use Clone → Binder (Cloning).

On the web — the header +, with the same three fields, or New binder on your Binders page; made from inside a folder there, the new binder starts in it.

Folders are created in the app or on your Binders page on the web, and a binder moves into one from either: see Moving things.

Managing one

In the app — the management sheet: press and hold the binder's row in the hub or inside its folder, or use the ⋯ button inside the binder. In the hub you can also swipe a row left to delete. It has four groups:

• Quick actions — Edit (name and color), Duplicate, Move (into a folder or out of it, see Moving things), Share.
• Organize — Reorder the hub, Merge into another binder, Select binders (from the hub or a folder, to move or delete several), Select cards (inside the binder, in a grid layout), toggle For Trade, and Convert to list (on a list: Convert to binder).
• Data — Import cards, Export.
• Danger zone — Empty the binder, Delete it. Deleted binders go to Recently deleted for 30 days.

On the web — the More menu, with Share beside it: Edit, Select cards, Clone, Import cards, Export, the For Trade and Wishlist switches, Move to folder (Change folder when it is already in one, see Moving things), Convert to list / binder, and a Danger zone with Empty and Delete. Clone is the web's name for Duplicate.

Converting a binder into a list, or a list into a binder

Convert to list (on a binder) and Convert to binder (on a list) keep the cards, tags and share link, and change what the cards mean:

• Binder → list — the cards stop counting as owned, so Owned Cards and your collection value go down. For Trade turns off.
• List → binder — the cards count as owned, so Owned Cards and your collection value go up. Wishlist turns off.
• Either way it leaves its folder — binder folders hold binders, list folders hold lists — and a view set to binders only or lists only stops including it.

In the app it works offline too: the change shows at once and reaches the server when you reconnect. On the Free plan it needs room for one more list (or binder).

Two things stay in the app: Reorder and Merge. So does the per-collection Data screen.

One tile per finish

A binder lists one tile per finish, not one tile per card. A printing you hold as two normals and one foil is two tiles, each with its own count and price.

Every tile carries the same family of marks:

• ×N when you hold more than one copy of that finish.
• A FOIL or ETCHED tag. A normal finish has no tag.
• A language code when the copy is not English.
• The set symbol, set code and collector number, then the condition.
• The price of that finish in your active price source, with the source's mark.

Two places draw a printing once whatever its finishes: the app's compact grid and a tracker slot. The same rule decides what a bulk action touches — see Bulk actions.

Inside a binder

• Search within the binder to jump to a card.
• Sort by sixteen keys under two tabs, each with an ascending and descending toggle. General: Last added, Release date, Name, Mana value, Price, Total value, Copies, Color identity. More: Price change · 7d (% or $), Rarity, Collector number, Set code, Set name, Condition (NM first) and Language. The web has no price-change sorts, and one Set sort in place of Set code and Set name.
• Filter by color, type, rarity, tags and more.
• Change the layout. In the app, binders and lists open in the grid, with name, set and price under each card. The layout button cycles compact grid → grid → list, and this device keeps your choice for every binder, list, Owned Cards and view. Press and hold the button for Card size. The web has a Grid and List switch.
• Group your cards. Group By splits the grid under collapsible sticky headers by rarity, set, color, type or tags. Each binder remembers its own grouping.
• Multi-select — see Bulk actions.
• Tap a card. On a phone it opens the card quick view: the card large, its finish, language, condition, copies owned, For trade or Want and tags, with Details, Edit, Add to, Move, Watch and Delete. A Tags chip opens the tag picker. Swipe sideways for the next card in the order the binder shows them. On a tablet the tap opens card detail. Card detail opened from a binder or list swipes through its cards too.

Merging

Merge a binder into another binder, or a list into another list, from the app's management sheet. To merge a list into a binder, Convert to binder first. Quantities combine per printing, finish, condition and language, and the source collection is deleted afterwards; the confirm dialog says so. The source lands in Recently deleted empty: its cards live on in the destination, so restoring it brings back an empty binder or list.

Analytics and value

Every binder has a Data screen behind the pie-chart icon in its header: total value, top contributors, distribution by type and rarity, and its own price movers. With a search or filter active, Data analyzes only the filtered cards. The same screen exists for lists and for Owned Cards. See Prices & Market.
